The National Democratic Congress has accused the New Patriotic Party for the Bolgatanga central for doing little with government 1million dollar per constituency project.
Addressing the media in Bolgatanga, the party’s Communication Officer, Nelson Akanbange Nsobila said “one other deceit is the one million dollar per constituency, Bolgatanga central Constituency should have been benefiting from projects worth $,4million by now as promised by Akuffo Addo and the NPP .The good people of Bolgatanga has benefited less than what they were promised”.
He also claims the so-called achievement of the NPP in Bolgatanga municipality has been distributed to party leader in the constituency, saying that about 20 boreholes at an estimated cost of $65,000 where given a cost of at $2,800per a borehole under the 1million dollar per constituency policy.
“For instance ,there is one of the said boreholes constructed at one Mr Ayine Johnson house at Sherigu, one borehole at Kalbeo NPP coordinator ,Atambire house ,one at Mr Awudu house the NPP constituency organizer ,one at Yorogo NPP coordinator house ,one at the NPP parliamentary candidate, Mr Rex Asanga’s private school at Kulbia,one at Zorbiisi women organizer house and one at the municipal chief executive Hon Joseph Amiyuure house at Dorongo”.
The NDC said they have spent over six months tracking and calculating the projects executed for the one million dollar per constituency under the entire four years of the Akuffo Addo government has one Ambulance worth $133,000,two classroom blocks estimated at $82,000(₵451,000)each and both projects are currently at sub structure level at Dorongo that is Dorongo JHS ,Azorebiisi Primary in Sumbrungo, also two CHPS estimated at $85,000(Gh₵467,500)each ,work progress is about 20%complete at Tindomolgo and Sumbrungo Dazongo.
According to the Communication Officer, per their calculation with all the projects mentioned earlier plus the four dams in the Bolgatanga municipality for the past four years is just 13% the $4millon dollar.
“Out of the 4million dollars promised the Bolgatanga central constituency by Akuffo Addo, the constituency has only benefited from an amount of $523,000 which is just 13% of the 4million dollar promised” he said.
Mr Nsobila added that the NPP development tracker which claimed ownership of the library road ,the Tanzui road among others asphalted as the NPP achievement is a fallacy.
