Disgruntled NPP members Appeals to the President not approve the non performing Binduri DCE .

Some disgruntled Npp party members made of constituency executives , elders and some concern Npp youth has appeal to President Nana Akuffo Addo not approved the former DCE Mr Ayinga Abagri as the DCE for Binduri.
Addressing a press conference in Bolgatanga on Tuesday 2nd March 2021 Mr Philip Ayambah the elder and patron of the NPP in Binduri appeal to the President not to approve Mr Ayinga Abagri who seeking another four years to represent the Binduri District .
Mr Philip Ayambah said “we wish at this point to proceed to throw light on some recent misinformation being churned out by a group of uninformed young men and women, appealing to the President to elevate Mr Ayinga Abagri to a higher position or retain him as DCE. Their contention is that Mr Ayinga Abagri worked so hard hard during the first term of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and that endeared the people of the district /constituency who expressed their gratitude by voting for the NPP Parliamentary candidate in the December 2020 election.”
According to Mr Philip that assertion is far from the truth because in 2016 and 2020 election at the Nayoko polling station where Mr Ayinga Abagri has been voting, NPP forfeited woefully for example 2016 parliamentary NDC obtained 421 votes while the NPP secured just a 135 votes ,Presidential NDC scored 306 votes as NPP had 239.
In the 2020 election Parliamentary NPP had 160 votes as compared to the NDC 470 votes which a clear indication that Mr Ayinga Abagri worked against the fortunes of the New Patriotic Party in the Binduri constituency .
Mr Philip also noted that Mr Ayinga Abagri worked behind the scenes, to undermine party campaign in the constituency with a clear evidence of the figures of his own polling station above as well as some projects NPP government earmarked for the Binduri district was nearly swept under the carpet but it the took the intervention of the Parliamentary candidate then Hon Abdullai Abanga to push for the some projects to accomplish , an example is the constructed bridge over the Bumbuugu river that links Binduri to Bazua , the oldest school project, the Bazua market project as at the moment all these projects has been halted.
However, Mr Philip also served notice that the people of Binduri shall resist any attempt to retain Mr Ayinga Abagri the DCE for Binduri “ we the people of Binduri shall very strongly resist the Excellency choice with all due respect “he added.
Moreover Mr Philip added that the victory of the party parliamentary candidate was due the following reasons the Unity which the party elders and patrons of whom came from Binduri central brought to bear on the campaign as well as the resolute youth from Binduri community, who after heeding to the advice of some of the committed patrons of the party decided to very strongly came out to campaign for both the president and then PC Mr Abdulai Abanga.
The disgruntled group however thank the president for nominating their son Mr Stephen Yakubu as the Upper East Regional Minister designate due to his pivotal role his been playing over the years and Mr Stephen wouldn’t disappoint the president and pleaded with the president to offer the only member of Parliament from the Upper East Region Mr Abdulai Abanga a ministerial position.
The group also called on the party general secretary Mr John Boadu to send a good research team to Binduri to fine out what is happening on the ground to enable the party retain the seat in 2024 or else loose the seat.
