In a remarkable display of corporate social responsibility, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, Founder and CEO of Charger Limited, has donated 1,000 mathematical sets to support candidates preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Bolgatanga municipality.

The donation was facilitated through the Happy Man Foundation, an initiative of Charger Limited, and coincided with Dr. Borketey’s birth month. Staff members of the company, known for producing the popular Happy Man Bitters and Black Legend Coffee, executed the gesture on his behalf.

Beneficiary schools included St. John’s JHS, Angelica JHS, Azaalonge JHS, Sokabiise JHS, Sumbrungu JHS, Preparatory JHS, among others.

Addressing the candidates, Dr. Borketey encouraged them to take their studies seriously, emphasizing that “education is the foundation of every nation’s future.”

Speaking on behalf of the CEO, Mr. Alex Atanga advised the students to approach their exams with calm and confidence, reminding them that fear and panic should not impede their success.

Mr. Edward Anafo, the Marketing Manager of Charger Limited, ensured that every candidate received a mathematical set to aid their preparation. He urged them to write their exams diligently and make themselves, their families, and their schools proud.

The donation exercise was led by team members Kabu Banks and Papa Pius, who visited various schools to distribute the items. Heads of the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude, describing the donation as a timely intervention and a necessary act of kindness.

Students were visibly excited and appreciative of the support. Many extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Borketey and the Charger Limited team, promising to study hard and excel in their exams as a way of showing their appreciation.

Charger Limited continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to the development of the Upper East Region. In addition to supporting education, the brand is well-known for sponsoring entertainment, sports, and other community-based initiatives, including its role as the headline sponsor of the Upper East Music Awards (UEMA).
