Navrongo Central Prisons beat Paga Immigration in a friendly match.

The Navrongo Central Prisons Service team came back from behind to beat Paga Immigration Service team 3-2 on Friday, 19th April, 2024 in a friendly match played at the Paga Town Park. The match was so intense that, spectators from near by country Burkina Faso came to watch. The Immigration team took the lead on the 25 minute and doubled it on the 35 minute before the end of the first half.


The captain of the Prisons team, arose the spirit of his team immediately the start of the second half with a kick from the center of the field to beat the goalkeeper of their opponent. The Prisons team took control of the game and got an equaliser on the 59th minute. The added another goal making it 3-2. The Prisons team ended the match with 10 men.


The Technical Advice of the Prisons team, Assistant Chief Officer Adams Iddrisu in an interview said, they had to talk to their boy after the end of the first half to have the I can do spirit. He said, his team did not get enough time to train.


The head coach of the Immigration team attributed their defeat to a comment he heard from a fan of their opponent that, the toffee is working and they will investigate what kind of toffee is that.
The Prisons team have played 4 matches, drew 2, lost 1 and won 1.
