Bawku: Man caught with silent pistols, ammunitions

A combined team of Security personnel in Bawku on the afternoon hours of Wednesday April 17, 2024 intercepted a popular business man with weapons hidden in his land cruiser vehicle. The suspect, Musah Nash moved the now sized bryony sophisticated pistols, otherwise known as silent pistols from Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region to Bawku.

He is said to be an employee at the Tema Harbour.  Besides the sophisticated Pistols, some 37 live ammunitions were also seized. Interestingly, Nash was moving under police guard at the time of his arrest. Wealthy business persons are believed to be bankrollers and weapon suppliers relative to the Bawku conflict.

Sources disclosed to mywordfmonline.com indicates that Nash was detained at the National Investigative Bureau (NIB) outfit in Bawku.

Experts explain that such soundless pistols are usually used to launch suicide attacks.  Many have expressed their displeasure with the influx of sophisticated arms in the country.

In recent time, some hoodlums exported the Bawku conflict to other parts of the country. Ashaiman, is one of such areas that witnessed some melee.

Efforts to contact the outfit of the National Investigative Bureau as at the time of going to press went unsuccessful.
