UE/R: Court throws out Alex Avoka injunction, asked him to pay 20,000 cedis

The Bolgatanga high court presided by His lordship, justice Gbiel S. Suurbaareh, on Friday February 2, 2024 threw out Alex Avoka Amolebugri, an applicant who sought an injunction on the acclamation of the Member Parliament for Binduri, Hon. Abdulai Abanga last week.

The court’s decision to throw out the petitioner was base on his multiple names which were not harmonise, multiple dates of birth and changing of dates of birth.

He has also been slapped with an amount of twenty thousand Ghana cedis as damages.

Counsel for the applicant, Richard Adaazabra indicated that his client was not in court during proceedings.

He disclosed that his client is not happy with the judgement, but he is yet to meet his client to know the next line of action.
