Bawku West: We need a simple majority in parliament;vote for the NDC ticket

Former president John Dramani Mahama has called on the people of the Bawku West constituency not to vote for any other political party apart from the umbrella party, because the next National Democratic Congress (NDC), government will need a simple majority in the house of parliament.

Addressing party faithfuls at Zebilla during his second day of “building Ghana tour”, John Dramani Mahama called on voters to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress come December 2024.

The National Democratic Congress and the New Patrotic Party will face off one Miss Patience Akparipoka Ndebugre is contesting as an independent candidate.

“I am standing for the presidential elections on the ticket of the NDC, but remember that we also need parliamentary majority, and so we have a parliamentary candidate who is standing on the ticket of the NDC, don’t vote for me and vote anybody else, if you vote for me as president, you want me to do the work that you have asked me to do for you, then you must give me an MP to come and help me to be able to do that”. Miss Patience Akparipoka Ndebugre is the first daughter of the late Lawyer John Akparibo Ndebugre, who works at the controller and accountant general and a Reverend minister of God.

National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate, Ebenezer Alumire Ndebila, and the New Patriotic Party’s candidate, John Kingsley Kurug, are all new comers on the ballot sheet.
