Zebilla: Ken floors Bawumia

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Assin Central member of parliament and a flagbearership aspirant of the New Patriotic Party has given the vice president, Dr Mahamud Bawumia a huge margin in the Bawku West constituency relative to the presidential primaries of the Party.

Certified results

The law maker pulled 482 votes of the total valid votes of 706, while Dr. Mahamud Bawumia had 173 votes.

The former minister for food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Akoto Osei and Mr Francis Adai Nimoh came bracket with each of them pulling 22 votes with 6 rejected votes.

Lawyer Anthony Namoo regional chairman of NPP UER

The Upper Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, lawyer Anthony Namoo who earlier spoke to word news indicated that some known NDC and NPP members in the Bawku area are issuing threats and intimidating delegates not to exercise their democratic right.

He however prevailed upon the delegates to ignore the threats and exercise democratic rights.

Word news has gathered that a member of the NPP had his house ransacked night before the primaries
over an allegation that he supports Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The elections was peacefully conducted at the Zebilla Senior High / Technical secondary school premises.
