UE/R: Government Terminates Agenda 111 Over Non Performance – DCE

The district chief executive for the Nabdam district in the Upper East Region, Mrs Agnes Anamoo has disclosed that government has terminated its flagship project, agenda 111 contract with the contractor over an alleged nonperformance.

According to the district chief executive, the project got stalled whiles other districts projects were progressing steadily leading to several complains which were made to the contractor. The health committee invited him severally, but he failed to show up and only delegated his staff to meet the committee. Assembly members also invited him, but he won’t show up. Due to his failure to respond to these invitations, the Assembly together with the youth of Nabdam had no option than to report the contractor to central government via a writing petition to the president through the Upper East Regional Minister.

The youth of Nabdam, according to reports have been very happy that the president has acted by terminating the alleged non-performing contractor’s contract.

Hon Agnes Anamoo lamented how the stalled project has distorted the joy of the chiefs and people of Nangodi and the entire Nabdam district.
A land size of about 393 acres was released by traditional authorities in the area for the project.

She appealed to government through the ministry of health to re-arward the project to a well-resourced and hard working contractor to continued the project so as the reduce the health challenges of the people.
