An aspiring Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party in the Bolgatanga East Constituency, Mr. Mathew Amoah, has sent a strong word of caution to his opponent that he will not be frightened by them.
Mr. Amoah boldly stated that he and his team are resolute and confident of annexing the seat which has been won by the NDC’s candidate, Hon Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine since its creation in 2012 and would not be frightened.
Speaking to a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters at the party office of the NPP in Zuarungu during the filling of his nomination forms to contest the Upcoming parliamentary primaries, Mr. Amoah said regardless of the machinations and accusations leveled against him, there will be a change in 2024
” 2024, whether they like it or yes, there would be change, there would be change, there would be change. If they want, they can call us “Sakawa” ,we will beg the people to vote for us. We only respect people, we don’t fear people, so noooo shaking, noooo shaking.”
Mr. Amoah was accompanied by a large crowd of NPP Sympathizers from the constituency and nearby constituencies to the party office where he returned his nomination forms to the electoral officers of the party.
Mr. Amoah is making the first attempt to lead the NPP in the Parliamentary elections in the Bolgatanga East Constituency in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
So far, he is the only one who has picked and returned his forms. It is unclear yet if others will join the race to contest the primaries or he would go solo.
