I Lost But I will continue my dream to see 10 young people from Nabdam become lawyers in 10yrs and Support NDC: Lawyer Lamtiig.

Lawyer Lamtiig Apanga, an aspirant in the recently held NDC Parliamentary primaries in the Nabdam constituency who failed his bid to represent the NDC in the constituency says he has accepted defeat, congractulated the winner and promised to support the NDC towards the victory of John Mahama and Dr. Nawani in the 2024 general elections.

“On Saturday, 13th May, 2023 the NDC delegates went to the polls to elect the Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates for the 2024 general elections, I put myself up to be elected however, the delegates decided otherwise. I have accepted the result and congratulated the incumbent MP who won the elections.”

Lawyer Lamtiig in his statement posted on his social media handle, Facebook, on Wednesday, 17th May, 2023 said though he lost the trust of the Nabdam delegates to lead them, he will support the party to see the victory of John Mahama and Dr. Nawani.

“I will continue to remain a strong and dedicated member of the NDC and give my unflinching support to the party towards victory 2024 to see JM win the Presidential elections and Dr Nawaane win the Nabdam seat”

Unlike other candidates who disappear with their promises after they fail to win the trust of the majority of the delegates, Lawyer Lamtiig despite his loss, has renewed his commitment to support 10 young people from Nabdam to become lawyers in the next 10 years.

“I will continue to pursue my dream to see 10 young people from Nabdam become lawyers in 10yrs”

He has thanked all his campaign team members, his colleagues, family and all those who in diverse ways helped his bid.

Lawyer Lamtiig Apanga contested the NDC Parliamenrary Primaries in the Nabdam constituency with two others including the seating member of Parliament, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawani. He pulled 177 votes to lose to Dr. Nawani who pulled 303 votes to win the slot to represent the NDC in the 2024 elections. Mr. Sampana Zure the third contestant, obtained one vote in the contest.
