Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Government Is Beyond
The outspoken Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency in the Upper East Region, Hon Isaac Adongo, says the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led-government has poorly managed the Ghanaian economy beyond the incompetent tag.
He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government which used to refer to Former President John Dramani Mahama as incompetent, owing to his decision to seek a bailout from the International Monetary Fund, had performed so poorly beyond the incompetent tag.
Hon Adongo said this at a campaign durbar in Bolgatanga in honour of the Former President as part of his two-day tour of the Region.
“Your Excellency, they said you were incompetent because you went to IMF. Today, they are struggling to be incompetent but are not even qualified.
“When you decided to go to the IMF to seek help, you arrived at the IMF with a blue print that the people of Ghana had endorsed, and the IMF only needed to sign it on.
“Under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led administration, they have turned the IMF negotiation into a lobbying activity in the hands of one Finance Minister, who goes about lobbying the IMF’s National Director and everyone else,” he noted.
According to the Bolgatanga Law Maker, Ghana’s inflation rate could no longer be calculated as it experienced several inflation rates which almost appeared as if the country was in the era of the 1983.
He used the occasion to appeal to delegates to vote massively for the Former President to become the Party’s Flagbearer on May 13.
