UE: Kotokoli zongo wheep Majeema 4-0 to lift the 2022 Ramadan Soccer Fiesta trophy.

Kotokoli Zongo won Ramadan Soccer Fiesta for the fourth time.

Three times champions of the Upper East Ramadan Soccer Fiesta Kotokoli Zongo beat one time champion, Majeema in this year’s edition 4-0 lift the trophy for keep. Both communities exhibited quality football from day one till the final. This year’s win makes them the most successful community to have won it four times.


This year’s gala saw an increment in the number of communities from 16 communities to 24 as a result of quality of organisation by the oganizing body. The gala officially started in 2008 with 4 communities then increased to 8, 12, 16 and this year 24.


Kotokoli zongo being the champions walked home with a trophy for keep, gold medals and a cash prize of Ghc1,000.00.


Speaking at the climax ceremony, the Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Mr. Salifu Shaibu Zida thanked the organizer for initiating this gala. He mentioned that, a player has been scouted in these games and will be going to Europe for trials. He then called on co-operate bodies to come on board to support the organizers.

Samed Salifu (Majeema), Nabil Hafiz (Kotokoli Zongo) and Musah (Kotokoli Zongo) 4 goals each
Best player – Samef Salifu (Majeema)


3rd Runners-up – Dagmweo
2nd Runners-up – Pobaga
1st Runners-up – Majeema
Champions – Kotokoli Zongo
