Regional Organizer Position Is Not Demotion -Former DCE

A former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bongo, Hon. Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga, says his quest to contest the position of Regional Organizer in the upcoming New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) executive election in the Upper East Region is not a demotion.

He said in line with the Party’s vision to retain power in 2024,  he was the best person with vast experience to help galvanise votes from the grassroots to enable the Party retain power and capture more seats in the Region.

Hon. Ayamga, also the 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP in the Bongo Constituency, and former Constituency Chairman, spoke to Word News after he filled his forms to contest the position.

He said with the vast experience gathered over the years in politics, he could not  “Sit aloof,  fold my hands and watch various players play. I need to bring my experience to bear in the Party.”

“We are talking about breaking the eight, we don’t need former Party Executives to break the eight, we  don’t need infants, we need new entrants. We need people who have the requisite experience to break the eight,” he said.

According to Hon. Ayamga, to break the eight-year rule, it required massive and well  experienced hands on deck, “I have served in various capacities and performed all these functions  creditably.”

“I see myself as somebody who has that genial attitude with rich experience needed for the work of Organizer,” the former DCE added.

He noted that the work needed someone with the mobilization skills which he had over the years acquired as a former Assembly member and  Constituency Chairman, former DCE and Parliamentary Candidate for the 2020 elections.

Hon. Ayamga appealed to delegates in the Region to vote for him to organize the Party from the grassroots level to victory in 2024.
