Tanzui Community wins Frafra Unity Inter-community football Games.

Tanzui Community has been crowned champions of the maiden Frafra Unity Inter-community football Games that took place at Mobile Astro turf in Bolgatanga.They beat Tindongsolbigo 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw at the final to carry the ultimate prize. They took a trophy, a set of jersey and a football. Former U-17 and captain of relegated Ghana premier league side Inter Allies defender, Paul Abanga who captain Bolga Soe community was the top scorer of the gala.

The main aim of the games is to promote peace and unity among the Frafra speaking people in Bolgatanga to enhance development.


In all, twelve (12) Frafra Communities in the Municipality participated. These communities are; Tanzui, Tindongsolbigo, Tindongmolgo, Pobagya, Bolga Soe, Sumbrungu, Yorogo, Bukere, Zaare, Dagweo, Bolga Sherigu and Kalbeo. The gala started on the 19th December, 2021 and ended on 1st January, 2022.


In attendance for the climate was the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Hon. Isaac Adongo and the Regional Football Association Chairman, Mr. Salifu Shaibu Zida.

The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Hon. Isaac Adongo said he was not informed earlier but, presented Ghc 3,00.00, which he pronounced that, all participating Communities should be given appearance fee of Ghc 150.00, the semi-finals communities Ghc 150.00, 1st Runner up Ghc 200.00 and the champions Ghc 400.00.
He applead to Organizers to organize it twice a year, which he pledged to support.
