I Pledge That I Will Continue His Fight For The Peace And Unity Of This Country- Jonh Dramani Mahama

The flagbearer of The National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has pledged before the tomb of the past president of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills, to continue the fight for the peace of Ghana as was persueed by his boss. “I stand today, before the tomb that holds the mortal remains of the Asomdwehene, the King of Peace, and I pledge that I will continue his fight for the Peace and Unity of this country.

the former president was at the Asomdwee Park with his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agemang and other bigwigs of the NDC to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the demise of the late Prof. Evans Fiifi Atta Mills.

John Evans Fiifi Atta Milss was the third president of Ghana under the fourth republic and died in office on the 24th of July ,2012 while serving as a sitting president. the NDC commemorates his paSsing every 24th July.

speaking at a short ceremony at the Asomdwee park, the former president and leader of the NDC said Ghanaians are crying for equal opportunities, peace and justice for all and not a selected few.

He prayed that God will grant Ghana a peaceful country.

“Today, Ghanaians are crying for Peace and Unity. Today, Ghanaians are crying for a nation where all the opportunities will be open to all of us and not a selected few.

Ghanaians are crying for a nation where there will be justice for all, irrespective of your political affiliation or your ethnic origin. Today, Ghanaians are crying for a nation where all of us will be considered as citizens, United in our Diversity. Today, Ghanaians are crying for a nation where we shall all be equal before the law. May God grant us this Peace and this Unity.”

I stand today, before the tomb that holds the mortal remains of the Asomdwehene, the King of Peace, and I pledge that I will continue his fight for the Peace and Unity of this country.
