The New Patriotic Party’s Upper East Regional Research/Electoral Officer Dr. Edward Nabil has died. Dr. Nabil passed on at the Upper East Regional hospital on Wednesday after after a short illness.
The Upper East Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr.Elvis Atia Awonekai, in a press release copied to Word Fm said Dr. Nabil was taken to the hospital for medical care after being taken ill and subsequently passed on on Wednesday 8th March, 2023.
“We regret to inform you of the death of our colleague, friend, and valued member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Edward Naabil, who met his untimely demise on Wednesday, 8th March 2023 at the Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga, where he was receiving medical attention after a short illness.”
The Upper East Regional Chairmen, Mr. Anthony Namoo has as result directed all party flags in the region to fly at half mast.
“Anthony Namoo Esq., Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP, has directed that all party flags at regional, constituency, and polling station offices be flown at half-mast.”
Until his untimely death, Dr. Nabil was a Senior Lecturer at Bolgatanga Technical University and a lead researcher for the NPP party’s Regional Research and Intelligence Team.
The party has extended its condolences to the NPP party, its members and the families of the their departed colleague.
“As a result, we express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, particularly his parents, wife, and children, at this trying and difficult moment.”
