The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr Mark Kurt Nawaane, has supplied stationeries to final year Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in his Constituency.
The stationeries included 800 pieces of mathematical sets and exercise books distributed to about 712 candidates across the Constituency to enable them prepare adequately for the examination scheduled for July 2024.
Dr Naawane at a brief ceremonies to present the items, said he had supported several BECE candidates in the area for the past nine years.
He said the gesture was a sign to the candidates that he, and other stakeholders were concerned about their education, and that they should study hard and excel in the BECE.
The Nabdam District Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Madam Mary-Magdalene Wompakeah, called on parents to take interest in the education of their children and support them to the highest level.
Ms Mavis Moah, one of the BECE candidates, thanked the MP for the gesture, and said it would help them to study and prepare for the examination.
