KUSAUG REGION:

Call to Action!

Dear Opinion Leaders and concerned youth in Kusaug, Our kingdom is facing unprecedented challenges and it is time for us to rise and fight for our region. I advise that the Zebilla Constituency should be demarcated to form two constituencies, so we can have seven constituencies.

Kusaug is located in the Upper East Region of the West African country of Ghana. It borders with Burkina Faso and Togo. It is also known for its traditional crafts, such as basket weaving, pottery, and beadwork, which are important sources of income for local artisans. Bawku serves as a commercial and administrative center for the surrounding areas, with markets, shops, and government offices providing essential services to residents and visitors.

Proposed map of Kusaug Region.

Kusaug kingdom is currently comprised of six administrative districts. Bawku Central, Bawku West, Binduri, Pusiga, Garu, and Tampane, with an estimated population of 579,626. Kusaug population is bigger than Ahafo Region and equivalent to Savannah, North East, Western North, Oti, and Upper West region, so therefore, we are qualified for a region, in terms of population.

Kusaug is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, including savannah plains, hills, and valleys, making it a scenic destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. It is also home to several historical sites, such as the Zugraan Palace, Abakanga Valley, Agole Valley, Tili Forest, the White Volta, and Tambe Dam, which showcases the traditional architecture and cultural heritage of Kusaug. It is a vibrant and dynamic place with unique cultural traditions (Samapiid), economic activities, and natural beauty that makes it a special place to visit and to explore.

As opinion leaders and concerned youth of Kusaug, we have the power and influence to inspire change and advocate for the creation of a new region for the betterment of the area. We must forge together to address the issues facing Kusaug Kingdom.

Problems such as insecurity, economic development, social inequality, and environmental degradation. By leveraging our collective voices and resources, we can work towards creating a better future for our region. We must collaborate with local government officials, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions to our most pressing problems. We cannot afford to Sit aloof and watch as Kusaug continue to struggle. It is up to us to take action and make a difference. We must be vocal advocates for change and push for policies that will benefit Kusaug as a whole.

Let us not wait for others to take the lead – let us rise and be the change we wish to see in Kusaug. Together, we can build a brighter future for our region and ensure that it thrives for generations to come.

As opinion leaders and concerned youth, we have a responsibility to lead by example, to inspire others to take action, and to champion the values of unity, solidarity, and progress. Let us work together to build a stronger sense of Kusaug, foster collaboration, and dialogue among diverse stakeholders, and create opportunities for growth and development that benefit all members of Kusaug.

I urge you to join me in this call to action, to rise and fight for our region, to stand up for justice, equality, and dignity for all, and to work towards a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Together, we can make a difference, transform our region, and build a legacy of Kusaug Kingdom and prosperity for generations to come.

Thank you for your leadership, your commitment, and your dedication to the well-being of our Kusang kingdom. Let us rise together and shape a better tomorrow for our region.

Thank you all.

Sincerely,

Abugri Yakubu Osman.
