The Bolgatanga East Constituency parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region is set to repair a broken dam for the people of Zuarungu Moshie, one of the electoral areas of the constituency.

Mathew Silas Amoah took the decision after community members appealed to him through a letter.
The community members wrote to him for help after heavy rainfall destroyed the community dam some few months ago.

The dam, according to elders of the community, serves the people of Bolgatanga East, Nabdam and the Bongo districts.

The dam, if not repaired, would cause an unpleasant consequences to livestock in the area.
Speaking to Word news, Mathew Silas Amoah stated that he was not in the community to fix the dam for political gains, but for humanity. For him, live existed before politics.
He donated a half-ton of iron rods, twenty bags of cement and one thousand Ghana cedis towards the fixing of the dam.

“We have not come to fix this dam for you people because of politics , we consider life first before politics. If it was because of politics, we would have waited till it is election time so that we come over to support you fix the dam, but we want you people to have strength, life and since you people are our elders, when you sleep and think of our support you definitely come to terms with our work.
We have a half-ton of iron rods, twenty bags of cement, and one thousand Ghana cedis for feeding”.

The District Chief Executive for Bolgatanga East, Mr David Amoah noted that the New Patriotic Party is popular in the constituency for its good works. He noted that the hallmark of the New Patriotic Party is development and called on the people of the area to vote massively for his party.

The Zuarungu Moshei chief’s linguist appealed to the parliamentary candidate to help reshape the Zuarungu moshei bridge that connects the community and other adjoining communities in the district. He also wants the community connected to the national grid.
