A former NDC constituency secretary of the Talensi constituency, Mr. Solomon T.T.B. Zinekena has successfully filled his nomination forms to contest the NDC Parliamentary primaries slated for 13th May, 2023 with a promise to make sure that he works for Talensi to push for it’s development.
Speaking to the media at the party office in Tongo, Mr. Solomon T.T. B, the immediate past constituency secretary of the NDC said he has put up himself for election as the NDC Parliamentary candidate in the Talensi constituency for the upcoming NDC Parliamentary primaries in response to the calls by the people of the constituency for a young Person to lead them.
” We have taken this step to work for the good people of Talensi. I have been on the ground and I have seen how Talensi people are yearning for a young person to come. We are here to make sure that NDC is placed at a place that at least when you mention Talensi, someone is there pushing for developmental projects for Talensi.”
Mr. Solomon said he has served the party both within and out of the Constituency as a polling agent, branch secretary, constituency secretary, TEIN president, and as a regional communication member and has called on the delegates to reward him for the sacrifice and loyalty to the party.
” I have been on the ground as a branch secretary, i have on the ground as a polling agent, i have been on the ground as a constituency secretary, i have been on the ground as a former TEIN president, i have been a member of the regional communication team from 2015 till date, i have done all that it needs for me to deliver for the party and i have given my all to the NDC party. This election, it is an election of reward of hard work, reward of loyalty, reward of sacrifice, reward of commitment and you know how we have sacrificed, how we have suffered and how we have delivered for for Talensi.”
Clad in the paraphernalia of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Solomon promised to bring leadership to the doorstep of the people and create opportunity for all.
” I am bringing leadership to the doorstep of the grassroots, an open type of leadership. I will avail myself at the branch level and at every place so that at the end of the day, victory will always be for the NDC and we will deliver. We will create opportunities for all irrespective of where we are coming from.”
In all, eight aspirants have successfully filed to contest the upcoming constituency primaries of the NDC in the Talensi Constituency to be elected as the parliamentary candidate of the party in the constituency in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Notable among the eight aspirants is the former District Chief Executive of Talensi District, Mr Awunnore Edward who has also put himself forward for election to take the place of the current Member of Parliament, Hon. Benson Tongo Baba. The rest of the aspirants are : Mr. Dickson Kurug Kpelim-Etime, Mr. Peter Badimak Yaro, Mr. Rockson Aditiba, Mr. Daraan Kugre Nathaniel, Mr. Atiah Marthin Aduko, and Mr. Daniel Mahama Duug.
