Lawyer Lamtiig Apanga Paints Nabdam Red With His Paraphernalia to File Nomination Forms.

The Nabdam Constituency was painted red with paraphernalia of the aspiring parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress, Lawyer Lamtiig Apanga when he went to the party office in Nangodi to file his nomination forms to contest the upcoming parliamentary primaries slated for 13th May, 2023.

Amidst drumming and dancing from various drumming groups and loud music sound from a mounted sound system on a kia track, a marmot crowd of NDC supporters from various parts of the Constituency wore t-shirts with the portrait of the Lawyer while some tied NDC paraphernalia on their wrists and neck at his residence at Zanlerigu to accompany him to file his nomination forms.

Those with cars, motorcycles , Mahama Cando, motor king and bicycles couldn’t resist but emboss flyers and posters of Lawyer Lamtiig on their vehicles and any available spaces on electricity poles and walls of buildings.

The crowd then followed the aspirant through Pelungu to the party office in Nangodi to file his forms.

Clash of supporters

On reaching the Nangodi Pelungu junction, the entourage of lawyer Lamtiig Apanga met the incumbent MP, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawani and his entourage who were returning from the party office after successfully filling his forms. Supporters of the two candidates made gestures towards each other as they went past. Dr. Nawani was heard saying that the crowd that were following his contender are only party supporters who have no vote.

Lawyer Lamtiig eventually got to the party office and successfully filled his documents to contest the 2023 parliamentary primaries of the NDC in the Nabdam Constituency.

He promised to advance the developmental needs of the district by focusing on education, youth employment, women empowerment and health.

The primaries in the Nabdam constituency would be one of the fiercely contested primaries in the Upper East Region.
