The exercise was carried out across 14 constituencies in the region except the Navrongo Central constituency whose elections was suspended indefinitely due to a court injunction placed on the process by some aggrieved persons of the party.

However, the elections in the Bolgatanga East constituency were able to come on without any challenge as delegates from the various polling stations and electoral areas trouped to the Zuarungu Catholic Social Center to exercise their franchise.

The delegates were made up of polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, and senior party members totaling about 254 eligible voters.
