Samba Stars FC of Bongo Beo, a division two club in the Bongo District of Upper East Region has been awarded the best team of a video scout tournament called Visork Video Scouting that just ended in Ashanti region.
It is the only team in the Upper East Region to have participated in the tournament. They won their first match 2-0 against Magnet FC, drew 2-2 against Nkronsah United and lost to Visork Academy 1-0 at the Semi-final. In all eight teams participated in the scouting tournament. The placed third in the tournament.
In an interview on word fm sports show, dubbed Sports Arena, the head coach of Samba Stars FC, Adombila thanked their supporters and those who supported them during the tournament.
“we thank you so much for your support and prayers during our tournament that just ended yesterday in the Ashanti region, even though we expected to go to the finals, but by his grace we couldn’t make it we lost by one goal to nil against the visork soccer academy, organiser of the tournaments academy. But the most happier thing was about the scouting it was okay for us and thank you so must. We were also awarded best team in the tournament and third place in the tournament we thank everyone for give us your support and prayers during the tournament thank you so much”
