BONGO: Family of defile school girl weeps for justice

A teary final year student of Adaboya Junior High school in the Bongo district of the upper East Region is currently undergoing an embarrassed shame and mutilated pain following a forced-sex-torture she went through when a fully-grown man failed to control his libido.
The suspect, Thomas Aboo on September 6, 2021 defiled a 16-year-old victim [name withheld] when she visited her mother at Piitanga, a farming community in the Nabdam district.


The helpless victim is said to have cried out for help when she was overpowered by her molester, but got no rescuer. “He overpowered and dragged me into his room and forced me sit on his bed, while I was sitting on his bed, I was crying. He placed his hand on my shoulder and I remove his hand, he forced to touch my breast, asked me to remove my dress and I refused. He naked himself, forcefully removed my vest and underwear, turned my two hands backwards as he forces to sleep to with me. I cried for help and one gentleman came knocking the door and asked him to release me but he refused. As I cried for help, he removed a metal by his bed and threatened to beat me with the it”. I don’t know God – suspect


The suspect is said to have told the victim that he does not God and as such had nothing to do with morality. “I told him that I am a school girl and a baptized Christian and will not want to involve myself in immoral acts and he told me that he doesn’t know God”.
Thomas Boat who boasted of his powers, nakedly chased her victim and threatened to harm any person who attempt to safe the little school girl. His treat, this portal is told scared all potential rescuers thus paving way for him to drag the victim into his room where he forcefully had sex with her. “I don’t fear anything. No body can do me anything. I have been to prison before”. Thomas Aboo boasted.
Suspect not arrested.


There is an uncontrolled outrage over the police inability to arrest the suspect weeks after a formal complaint was lodged. The victim who is currently going through both community stigma and an unbearable traumatic pain is worried that her boastful molester still walks as a free man.
Officials of the department of Domestic and victim support unit of the Ghana police service would not comment further except to say that the case has been reported to them and is being investigated.
The victim’s family is however demanding for justice.
