The head coach of Berekum Chelsea FC, Abdul Abu Hannah on Wednesday, 4th August, 2021 was in the Bolgatanga municipality of the Upper East Region to monitor the last Semi-final match between Kotokoli-Zongo and Bolga-Soe, at the Mobile Astro turf.
Mr. Hannah’s visit to the sunshine region is to scout for players for his team in the coming Ghana Premier League season. He added that, Upper East Region is full of soccer talents and he look forward to seeing some of them feature for Berekum Chelsea.
Coach Hannah said he is not new to the region because he has stayed at Bolga Zongo when he was in the Upper East Region.
Touching on the performance of Brekum Chelsea in the just ended Ghana Premier League, Coach Hannah said his team could have performed better this season lf they had not release some of their players to move out of the country.
Berekum Chelsea were beaten by Ashanti Gold FC 4-1 at the Semi-final of this year’s MTN FA Cup and placed 9th in the just end Ghana Premier League.
The Plus One salah soccer gala final will come off on sunday at the same venue where Bolga-Soe will battle Bolga-Estate for the winner of this year’s salah gala competition.
Coach Hannah will hope to get one or two quality platers from the competition to augment his team as they prepare for next season’s Ghana Premier league competition.
