UE/R: Tangoba Paulina Dare NDC to Mention One Legacy of John Mahama in the Region.

The Upper East regional minister, Hon. Tangoba Paulina has dared the National Democratic Congress to mention one legacy of John Dramani Mahama in the Upper East Region during his tenure as president.

Addressing members of the NPP and the media at the Sacred Heart Cathedral social centre during the inauguration of the Regional campaign team, Madam Tangoba said

“I am told Jane Naana was here and I told that as she  goes around this region, she should open her eyes and ask the NDC One simple question. I’m looking for one legacy that the NDC left in this region. “

The Regional minister who doubles as the parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the Navrongo central constituency, said most of the projects that the NDC is claiming credit for were mostly initiated by the NPP during the reign of John Kufour.

“They say the regional hospital, I say no because the regional hospital was started by his Excellency Kufour. They came and for eight years they couldn’t complete it and this is someone who says he is from the North. We are still struggling to complete that project. They want to lay claim, they can lay claim but they cannot claim it 100%. It is not theirs.”

They say the Bolga-Bawku-Pulmakon road, I say no because if they have used eight years to do less than 10% and I have used less than four years to do almost 50%, i will take more of the credit”

Tangoba said the NPP government has been magnanimous with the UE/R though they have only three seats in the region. Touching on some key infrastructure projects in the region, she said the Bolga-Naaga road , Navrongo-Naaga road is under construction, the Bongo Balungu bridge has been constructed with many more bridges constructed along the road.

“I’m told that the Pwalugu multipurpose dam has been on the drawing table for almost 50 years. No government had the balls to do it. His excellency Nana Addo says “I will do it” and it is there”

Hon. Tangoba said she can boast and shake herself that whether the NDC likes it or yes, the NPP has performed better.

“I am her to boast, I am here to shake myself and dance about and give confidence to all of you gathered here that whether NDC likes it or yes, we have performed better”

The campaign team was inaugurated by the Minister for Zongo and Inner City Development, Hon. Mustapha Hamid. The team has been tasked to hit the grounds running to work towards securing the Victory of the party in the upcoming election.
