Agribusinesses, Farmers And Media Undergo Training On Climate Change Resilience Measures.

The Ghana Agriculture Sector Investment Program has organised a two day residential capacity building workshop for farmers , agribusinesses and the media on Climate change resilience measures in three regions, North East, Upper East, and Upper West Regions of Ghana at Premier Lodge Hotel in Bolgatanga

The program is on the theme “Building Champions in Agribusiness Value Chains for climate Change Resilience”

Participants are drawn from Agribusinesses, Farmers, the media and other stakeholders from three regions. Participants will be taken through climate change issues and climate change adaptation strategies.

Resource persons will expose stakeholders to the state of climate change in Ghana and how farmers and their farming activities have contributed to climate change.

The training also aim to equip farmers and the media with adequate knowledge on the effects of climate change on farmers and the environment. The various strategies on climate change resilience will also be discussed to help farmers adopt best strategies to cope with the effects of climate change.

Farmers will be educated on the human factors and activities that are contributing to climate change like Poor farming practices, trees felling, and the poor usage of wedicides and fertiliser.

Participants are drawn from 14 districts of the North East, Upper East and Upper West Regions.
