Yagzore, Gaare Communinities Get Moderrn Health Posts

The Talensi District Assembly of the Upper East Region has handed over two modern Community-Based Health Planning and Service (CHPS) facilities to two communities in the Talensi district. The communities include Yagzoore and Gaare.

The two facilities were constructed by the Talensi District Assembly at a cost of GHc28,000.00 each.

Each of the facility has an accommodation for three residential staff plus a mini self-contain apartment for the midwife who will be stationed there. It will also have a maternity room for women delivery, an OPD and other auxiliary facilities.

The construction and handing over of the facilities will bring relieve to these communities who had to always walk miles to access health care either at the Talensi District Hospital or the Zuarungu health center which are the only closets health facilities.

The District Chief Executive, Dr. Christopher Boatbil said plans are far advanced to connect the facilities to the national grid.

Meanwhile the road network linking the facilities are been improved upon.
