The paramount chief of the Kologo Traditional Area in the Kassena Nankana Municipality in the Upper East Region, Naba Tandegrewongrekugre v, has called on all residents of the traditional area to return home to support the development of their community.
In a passionate appeal, the chief urged the people of Kologo to work together to reshape and strengthen the traditional area.
Speaking exclusively to Word News after being traditionally kept indoors for more than seven days as part of the fortification and coronation process following his installation as paramount chief, Naba Tandegrewongrekugre V made a strong call to citizens and residents especially those living away to come back and contribute to community development in diverse ways.
Naba TandegrewongrekugreV also prayed for all people in the community, particularly farmers and those in government, vocational, and technical work.
He encouraged them to take their responsibilities seriously, stressing that the blessings of the land of Kologo through the Almighty God and their ancestors will ensure that their struggles do not go in vain.The chief further warned the youth against stealing within the Kologo Traditional Area.
He said any stolen items or animals will be exposed through the gods of Kologo, and offenders will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of Ghana.
In addition, Naba Tandegrewongrekugre urged the people of Kologo to open their doors to investors, so that more businesses can come into the community.
He noted that this will create jobs for the youth and help bridge development gaps.He also prayed that the gods of the land would open the wombs of women who have not yet given birth.
He added that those who have not married will marry. he stated that, as the newly fortified and coronated paramount chief of Kologo, he does not forbid a second wife.
