The Nabdam District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Upper East Region of Ghana, Mr. Francis Tobig Yenwona, has pledged to renew efforts to enhance market infrastructure to support a thriving local economy. This initiative will focus on improving market accessibility, cleanliness, and organization. The DCE plans to collaborate with relevant agencies, traditional authorities, and local entrepreneurs to create a well-structured market system that serves not only as a center of trade but also as a symbol of local pride.

“Market infrastructure will receive renewed attention. A thriving local economy begins with accessible, clean, and organized market spaces. We will work with various stakeholders to develop a market system that embodies our community’s pride,” he stated.

Mr. Yenwona emphasized his commitment to unity and inclusivity as the guiding principles of his administration. He aims to bridge political and social divides, fostering a culture of dialogue and shared purpose.

Agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy, and revitalizing this sector through sustainable investment and innovation is a priority. The DCE plans to prioritize the Farmers’ Service Center, providing farmers with essential tools, knowledge, and support. This initiative aims to enhance food security, improve livelihoods, and make farming a more attractive venture for the youth.

The DCE’s commitment to youth empowerment is unwavering. Recognizing the energy, creativity, and passion of young people as critical to progress, he will implement tailored training programs, entrepreneurship opportunities, and skills development initiatives to unlock their potential.

Mr. Yenwona also pledged his dedication to the RESET AGENDA, a structured roadmap designed to improve the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. His role as DCE will be results-driven, data-informed, and people-focused. The administration will adopt best practices in governance and embrace grassroots feedback to ensure that progress is both visible and impactful.

“As I take on this solemn responsibility, I do so with gratitude, hope, and an unshakable belief in the strength of the people of Nabdam. Together, let us rise, rebuild, and reset our district’s path toward prosperity and peace.”
