UE/R: Tera-Buuriyele Supports Bolgatanga Regional Hospital with Medical Equipment

Tera-Buuriyele, a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to preserving, maintaining, and promoting the Frafra culture, has made a significant contribution to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital by donating vital medical equipment for checking patient vitals. This essential donation aims to enhance the daily operations of the hospital and improve patient care.

Known for its humanitarian efforts and national support, Tera-Buuriyele has previously engaged in various donations at both individual and national levels during times of crisis. The organization actively addresses critical issues related to Frafra culture, employing negotiation skills to ensure these matters receive the attention they deserve.

After the donation, Rev. Simon Apenuure, the chairman of the association, expressed optimism about the future of their support. He indicated that this donation marks the beginning of further assistance to the hospital and other critical areas in the region, particularly within the Frafra zone.

Rev. Apenuure highlighted that this is not the association’s first donation, noting their significant contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tera-Buuriyele played a crucial role in saving lives by providing Veronica buckets, soaps, and other essential items to various districts in the region to help curb the spread of the virus. The association remains committed to continued donations to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital to support quality healthcare delivery in the region.

At the same event, Naba Paul Asaana Agoo, who serves as both the chairman of Zaare and the secretary of the association, announced that Tera-Buuriyele has acquired two plots of land to build a museum, aimed at preserving the traditions and culture of the people in the region. Plans are also underway to construct a radio station and a guest house, further supporting cultural preservation.

Mrs. Justina Ayoribila Gockah, the Deputy Nursing Director of the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, received the medical equipment, which will be used for checking patients’ vitals. She described the donation as timely, emphasizing the need for such equipment to ensure the delivery of quality medical care.

Mrs. Gockah expressed gratitude for the items provided by the association and urged them to continue bringing in more medical equipment to support the healthcare needs of the Upper East Region. She explained that the BP apparatus is crucial for monitoring patients’ blood pressure upon their arrival at the hospital, which helps determine if they need to be admitted for further monitoring. The thermometer gun is also essential for measuring patients’ temperatures.

“We appreciate everything you have brought for us,” she acknowledges the significance of the BP apparatus and thermometer guns in enhancing patient care at the hospital.
