Talensi Constituency: Solomon T.T.B. Slams Alibo Over Recent Campaign Attacks on Daniel Mahama

Mr Solomon T.T.B

The former parliamentary aspirant and former constituency secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Talensi constituency, Mr. Solomon T.T.B. has launched an attack on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Talensi constituency, Mr. Robert Ayinenaba Alibo. This comes in response to Alibo’s recent criticisms of Daniel Dung Mahama for not participating in the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) debate, which was organized for the three parliamentary candidates to present their policies and plans for the constituency. Despite the NCCE’s invitation, Daniel Dung Mahama did not attend the event.

Alibo has criticized Mahama for avoiding media interviews and referenced comments made by NDC National Chairman Johnson Aseidu Nketia during a campaign launch in Winkogo, where he described Alibo as a good candidate who has found himself in the wrong political party. In response, Alibo indicated that if the NDC chairman considers him a good candidate, he shouldn’t need to be in the NDC to become an MP.

Mr. Solomon T.T.B. stated, “Mr. Alibo, you go around the constituency peddling falsehoods that the National Chairman of the NDC has endorsed you as a strong candidate over Dan Mahama. This bare-faced lie is corroborated by mywordfmonline.com with the heading ‘Johnson Aseidu Nketia Endorses Me as a Strong Candidate Over Daniel Mahama – Alibo.’ Please, on what grounds do you think the venerable Chairman General would endorse you over Dan? What is your scorecard in Talensi that warrants his attention and endorsement? You know that General Mosquito is arguably the most experienced politician in party politics in Ghana.”

In a lengthy statement, Mr. Solomon accused Mr. Alibo of failing to address the NPP government’s unfulfilled promises in the constituency, instead choosing to attack the NDC parliamentary candidate. He urged Alibo to focus on the party’s abandoned projects and consider how they could be completed rather than continuing his attacks on Daniel Dung Mahama.

Mr. Solomon also pointed out that Alibo accused Mahama of running away from the debate organized by the NCCE, as reported on mywordfmonline.com. “Wouldn’t it have been fair to listen to his side of the story by contacting him directly? This could have given you insight into his health and the reasons for his absence. Let me state unequivocally that there was a communication gap between the NCCE and the NDC. Please note that Dan is not an independent candidate; he is a true democrat who believes in working within the existing structures of the party, unlike a certain candidate who is vindictive and cannot relate to or work with the entire constituency executives, preferring to collaborate only with a select few.”

He continued, “Your conclusion was mischievous, erroneous, and malicious. Your conduct suggests you may be a fierce contender. If debating is your best option, kindly ask your constituency chairman to organize one at a venue of your choosing. You can select any moderator, and Dan will gladly accept the challenge to give you a showdown. A masquerade dancer who unjustly tries to outshine his peers in a dance competition ends up exposing his flaws. Ignorance may lead a mouse to attack a calm but focused cat, but it does so at its own peril.”

Mr. Solomon concluded by urging Alibo to focus his energy on how his government plans to fix the defunct district ambulance, emphasizing that the Word Community Watch Show has taken it upon themselves to solicit funds for this purpose.
