Mrs. Sedonia Adapori Adabugah, the District Chairperson of the GRNMA, after the cheque was presented, said Mr. Apambila was able to pay for treatment of minor fractures sustained, but could not cater for the cost of the hip surgery.

She said the Association therefore deemed it necessary to assist its member, and was hopeful that after the surgical procedure, Mr Apambila would get back on his feet and continue to contribute to healthcare delivery in the District.

Mrs. Adabugah noted that the Association had over the years presented cheques for various sums to members with health conditions not covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme and those who lost their property to fire outbreak.

The Chair, who is also the District’s  Adolescent Child Health Reproductive Coordinator, appealed to nurses and midwives in the District and the entire Region who were not members of the GRNMA to join the Association to reap the numerous benefits of the Association.

Mr. Apambila after receiving the cheque, thanked leadership of the GRNMA for the support.
