Two Die in a Ghastly Motor Accident on Kintampo-Tamale Highway

Two male passengers on a Toyota Landcruiser have died in a motor accident on the Babator-Kuma highway off the Kintampo-Tamale trunk road in the Bono East Region on Thursday 6th January, 2023.

The Toyota Landcruiser burst its front tyre while on the highway and veered off the road thereby hitting a tree in the process.

The Public Relations officer of the Ghana National Fire Service in the Bono region, reported that “Rescuers from the Kintampo fire station responded to the distress accident call at 1312 hours at Babator-Kuma off the Kintampo-Tamale trunk road in the Bono East Region.”

“Upon arrival at the scene at 1328 hours, it was observed that a Toyota Landcruiser with registration Number GR 5031-U burst its front tyre and veered off the road thereby hitting a tree in the process.”

All the three (3) occupants on board the car were trapped in the mangled car. Two (2) males) died on the spot and the female sustained various degrees of injuries.

The victims have been recovered by the Ghana National Fire Service and taken to Kintampo Municipal Hospital.

The identities of the victims and the cause of accident is not known yet.
