Simon Agana Blessing Honoured at Humanitarian Global Awards.

The Humanitarian Global Awards has honoured Mr. Simon Agana Blessing for his unique humanitarian service rendered to the less privilege in society.

Mr. Simon Agana Blessing is a journalist with Bolgatanga East based Word Fm and a tutor at the Zuarungu Senior High School both in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

The Yong man who is in his late thirties is a philanthropist who often donate food, clothes and money to the less privilege and those who often turn to him for some form of financial assistance. He does most of his philanthropic work in the dark with his his small salary.

In 2021 when the country was hit with the Corona Virus pandemic, he donated food items, colthes and detergents to some selected widows through the Widows and Orphans Movement, a gender based NGO in the Upper East Region with his salary.

Mr. Simon Agana was awarded with a certificate of honour at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Saturday, 27 August, 2022 by the Humanitarian Global Awards as a recognition for his “Outstretched and selfless contributions in making difference in your community “

The popular radio journalist and tutor got nominated in the category of Young Philanthropist of the year but lost out on the night to a colleague Nominee , Doris.

Reacting to his recognition, Mr. Simon Agana Blessing, said he loves to see people smile because of him.

” Donating to people regardless of their status is a responsibility. I love to see people smile especially because of my little contribution. I will do it again and again with the little I have.”

The Humanitarian Global Awards is an award scheme that recognise people all over the world for their unique contribution to communities and society.
