Disregard Claims that Sex positions Can Lead to Stroke, there is no Evidence to Support it.

Contrary to claims by some sex experts that “Doggy style” a sex position can lead to stroke, the Ghana Physiotherapy Association of Ghana has asked the public to disregard the claim.

A self acclaimed health expert while on the 22nd August, 2022 edition of the GTV Breakfast Show with Kafui, made the claim that Doggy style can cause stroke in both men and women. The young health expert said when women bend during sex, it causes damage to the spine because of the strain it puts on the back.

“There are certain positions that causes more damage to the spine. Positions like Doggy, in fact, the Doggy is not good for the lady. The lady will have to bend her waist which will put strain on her waist.”

She added that “for men, having doggy style is like running a 5000 kilometer marathon, it is very long and not a small journey. During sex, the heart pump more blood into the penis and the legs which can give you stroke.”

But the Ghana Pysiotherapy Association has debunked that claim and called on the public to disregard it because there is no evidence to support it.

“For the avoidance of any doubt, the Ghana Physiotherapy Association wishes to state for the record that there is no evidence to support this claim.”

Doggy style is a classic position in which the receiver is usually on their hands and knees with their partner entering from behind. Vaginally, Doggy style is great for high sex drives, according to Fleming, because it allows for greater depth of penetration from behind, Plus, it’s versatile, as you can both be on your knees, one partner can stand over the bed, or both of you can be standing.
