ReCAS gives scholarships to 58 Students.

The Regentropfen College of Applied Science (ReCAS), a private university located in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region, has given scholarships to 58 people to pursue various academic programs at the school for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Beneficiaries are due to be admitted into the university to start degree and diploma programs in the next academic year slated for September 2022.

The initiative is part of the university’s vision to ” train brilliant but needy students across the country”. to increase the human resource base of the country.

Since the start of the scholarship program in 2016, this year’s awardees adds up to 128 students who have been offered scholarship admission into the Regentropfen College of Applied Science (ReCAS) to pursue undergraduate programs.

On behalf of the President of the ReCAS, Rev. Fr. Dr Moses  Asaah Awinonya, SVD, the Acting Registrar, Dr. Isaac Azure handed over the scholarship letters to the beneficiary students at the school premises after successfully passing an exam that was conducted by the school.

Criteria for selecting beneficiaries:

One needed to have taken part in the scholarship Exams at ReCAS on Saturday, July 23, 2022, and depending on the performance each student, scholarship was given from 100 per cent, 70 per cent, 50 per cent and 30 per on tuition fees. In all, six students had 100 per cent, 19 had 70 per , 19 got 50 per cent and 14 others had 30 per cent of tuition free scholarship.

The next batch of scholarship examinations is scheduled for August 6, 2022.

History of ReCAS:

With just a dream to establish a library in Kansoe- Namoo, in the Bongo district of the Upper East region to help young boys and girls have a place to retreat and learn some 22 years ago. The library was metamorphosed into an Educational Center and later into Regentropfen College of Applied Science and was accredited to run Diploma and five Degree programs ; B.Sc. Degree in Agriculture for Social Change, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Business Administration, B.Sc. Accounting, and B.Ed. Education in 2016.
