The median edition of the Happy Man Plus One Sala soccer competition in the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region came to an end on Sunday, 15th, August,2021 at the Bolga Astro Turff park formally, Mobile Park.
The competition which was played in the space of three weeks saw Soe community beat Bolga-Estate 3-1 to lift the ultimate trophy amidst wild jubilations by the massive crowed that throng the venue to watch the climax of the competition.
This year’s annual sala games which is played to climax the Ramadan fast and to bring various communities in the Bolgatanga Municipality together for the first time secured sponsorship by Charger Limited producers of Happy Man bitters and Happy Man Plus One Beverages as its headline sponsor.
The gala produced 46 goals out of 16 matches played. Paul Abanga of Bolga-Soe won the top-scorer award with 9 goals and the best player. Paul Abanga will take Ghc 500.00 every month for a year from the sponsors while as his price as the overall best player of the short tournament. Walter of Bolga Estate was also awarded the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
The CEO of Charger Linited, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey in a short statement expressed his satisfaction at the level of interest and enthusiasm exhibited during the whole competition. He entreated the other communities to compete to the final next year. Dr. Bortey also advised everyone to observe the covid19 protocols .

Champions – Bolga Soe community ( a Trophy, Gold medals, set of Jersey and a cash prize of Ghc 2000.00)
1st Runner up – Bolga-Estate ( a set of jersey, silver medals and a caah prize of Ghc 1000.00)
2nd Runner up – ( a bronze medal and a cash prize of Ghc 500.00)
In attendance to help climax the gala was the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Hon. Isaac Adongo and the Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Mr.Salifu Shaibu Zida.
