UE/R: Joy Makers rescues needy Pupils.

An Upper East Region based benevolent, non-profit organization christened – ‘Joy makers’, has extended a donation gesture to needy pupils of three basic schools in the region. The legatee schools include: Goriko, Winkogo and Dapoore Primary and Kindergarten Schools.
A total of 438 exercise books were distributed to 146 pupils of the beneficiary schools.

At the Goriko and primary school, 38 deprived pupils benefited from the gesture. The Winkogo primary school had 38 of its pupils bagging home the gifts with over 70 pupils of the Dapoore primary and Kindergarten school benefiting.
The beneficiary pupils expressed their joy over the unanticipated gift and called on other organizations to emulate Joy Makers.
Head teacher of the Goriko primary school – Mr. Samuel Amanze Billa thanked ‘Joy Makers’ for their kind gesture. “We just want to thank you very much for putting joy on the faces of this little children. All what the children are saying is that they need more, so if we are able to get such help, we would be happy. A number of the children whose parents cannot buy the required numbers of books usually to come to school with only one book for so many subjects which is affecting Teaching and Learning”.

Chief Executive Officer of Joy Makers, Augustine Awiah, is hopeful that the organization will in the near future execute greater gestures.
