The divisional chief of Kumbosgo, a surburb of the Bolga East district, Naba  Anabila Asuuyine, has eulogised COP Patrick Atampugbire Akolgo for the many development projects he has initiated and completed in the community to alleviate them off their social and infrastructure challenges.

Mr. Patrick Akolgo Atampugbire, a Commissioner of Police of the Ghana police service, has undertaken many infrastructure projects in the Kumbosgo community and other parts of the Bolga East district of the Upper East Region.

COP Patrick Akolgo responded to the appeals of the community to construct an additional JHS infrastructure to augment the then limited JHS blocks of the Kumbosgo Junior High School by constructing additional classroom blocks for the school which has made the school one of the best in the district.

Patrick Akolgo has also constructed a maternity block for the Kumbosgo CHPs compound to help health personnel deliver safe delivery to women in the area.

At a ceremony to hand over four bore wholes to some communities in the Kumbosgo area, the Chief of Kumbosgo said COP Patrick has been a God sent to the community who has done so many things for the community that cannot go unnoticed.

“Patrict Atampugbire is my “second Jesus”. Our women previously had to travel miles in search of water because of the lack of water in our community. Water is life and it is water that we use to welcome a new born child. This kind gesture of him will safe our women from walking long distances in search of water”

Madam Janet who was full of joy said the gesture by COP Patrick  will help provide their water needs.

“ We had problems with access to water. We previously had to travel to far places to access water. This bore whole will help us carry out our hose chores activities without the worry of travelling long distance to fetch water”

COP Patrick Akolgo Atampugbire on his part thanked the chief for his kind words of appreciation for the gesture he has given to the community.

He said he decided to come back home to support the community in any little way to help the development and advancement of the people of Kumbosgo.

“We grew up here and went to the riverside to fetch water in this community. If God has brought us this far and blessed us, we can’t eat alone. I have a community, I have brothers and sisters. So always put my community first. So in my little way, I will contribute my part for the good of my community.”

COP Patrick Atampugbire Akolgo also admonished members of the community to develop the attitude of helping each other in anyway possible to help others to advance in life.
