Hon Isaac Adongo MP BOLGATANGA Central constituency.

The Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament, Hon. Isaac Adongo, has urged his constituents to remain calm over the recent discussions regarding his appointment. Speaking on the Word Community Watch show on February 6, 2025, he emphasized that there is no need for demonstrations or agitation, as  President John Dramani Mahama is aware of his responsibilities and the four-year mandate he holds.

Hon. Adongo acknowledged that within this mandate, opportunities will arise at different times for various individuals. He reassured his constituents that the Bolgatanga Central constituency has significantly contributed to the government’s success. He cautioned that any public outcry or press conferences could jeopardize the chances of securing future opportunities that the president may be reserving for Bolgatanga.

The lawmaker expressed his positive relationship with President Mahama, stating that any perception of neglect regarding his appointment could lead to misunderstandings. He clarified that the president would not assign multiple cabinet ministers to one region without due consideration. He pointed out that Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, who serves as the Minister of State for the Attorney General, is a senior colleague and represents the BONABOTO area.

Hon. Adongo further noted that prior to releasing the first batch of deputy ministers, President Mahama communicated with Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education and MP for Tamale South, assuring him that he has not overlooked Isaac Adongo’s contributions and intentions.

He urged his constituents to remain peaceful and patient, expressing confidence that by the end of the president’s four-year term, he will have ample opportunities to serve the people of Bolgatanga and Ghana as a whole. Despite the current appointment situation, Adongo confirmed that he will continue to serve on the Finance Committee in Parliament, which will enable him to contribute significantly to the country’s economic discussions.
