
Lawyer Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, the Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga East constituency in the Upper East Region of Ghana, has been nominated by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as the Minister Designate for State Attorney.
Lawyer Ayine previously served as the Deputy Minister for the Attorney General under President Mahama and is among three individuals nominated to key positions in the new government.
The list presented by President Mahama to the Speaker of Parliament for ministerial appointments includes Dr. Ato Cassiel Forson as the Minister Designate for Finance. Dr. Forson is also the former Minority Leader in the 8th Parliament and currently serves as the Majority Leader in the 9th Parliament, representing the Ajumako Enyan Esiam constituency in the Central Region of Ghana. Additionally, John Abdulai Jinapor has been nominated as the Minister Designate for Energy, he previously served as deputy minister for energy under John Dramani Mahama.
He is the current Member of Parliament for the Yapei Kusawgu constituency in the Savannah Region of Ghana.
A statement issued by the presidency on January 9 indicated that President Mahama has submitted these ministerial nominations to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, for approval, in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
