“So as we go into another election, often there is a general sense of apprehension that something will go wrong , as a member of the church I can assure you and pledge that I am a person of peace and if there is any violence it won’t come from me, I will do everything to ensure that Ghana remains peaceful, because if you resort to violence, it’s the same people that you are coming to governed over and so I don’t think that even a single drop any Ghanaian blood is worth political power or coming into office”
John Dramani Mahama

The former president also admonished the church to partner the state to create avenues to support and empower the increasing number of widows.
