Bawku : Military harassment soars in 6pm to 6am curfew

There is an outrage in Bawku as residents complain of torture and physical harassment in the dawn to dask curfew.

Residents told www.mywordfmonline.com that some military personnel invated their houses and physically abused them during curfew hours. A distressed resident narrated how soldiers forced-opened the main entrance to his house and forced his household into their rooms.

Another person told www.mywordfmonline.com that some military personnel asked his household to switch off all lights in the house and go to bed. “It is 6:30pm and soldiers have forced-opened the gate and entered the house and all they are doing is to ask us to go inside our rooms and sleep. We are already inside our house, we have not broken any curfew rule, yet we are being subjected to physical abuse”.

Military personnel in Bawku have been in the news for bad reasons, as residents accused them over unwarranted deaths.
