Nabdam: Charles Taleog Ndanbon elected NPP PC

Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Nabdam Constituency of the Upper East Region have elected Mr Charles Taleog Ndanbon as the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Constituency.

He polled 190 out of the total valid votes cast, while his contender, Mr Paul Wooma polled 90 votes out of 280 valid votes cast.

Addressing Party delegates after the election, Mr Ndanbon said he would work closely with his contender to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Dr Mark Kurt Nawaane.

“The New Patriotic Party has won in Nabdam, not Charles Taleog or Paul Wooma,” Mr Ndanbon, who is the Regional Organizer of the NPP, said.

He expressed confidence that with the support of his team and his contender, Dr Nawaane would be axed from Parliament in the upcoming 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Mr Ndanbon thanked Mr Wooma and his team, and the NPP in the Constituency for the peaceful election process.

He urged all supporters to put the election behind them and work together to capture the seat from the National Democratic Congress.

Mr Wooma in his concession speech, congratulated the victor of the election and pledged his support for him to enable the NPP capture the seat.

“It has been five long months of campaign in the field, my team has gone with me and spoken to delegates, Charles Ndanbon’s team has gone round and spoken to delegates.

“The delegates say today, that Charles Ndanbon is the right candidate to lead us into the 2024 election.

“I Paul Pidimine Wooma duly accept the results declared by the Electoral Commission, and wish to congratulate him as well,” he said.

Mr Wooma thanked his supporters, family members, friends and all who supported him in diverse ways throughout the campaign.
