Six young ladies caught subjecting a teenager in a viral video in the Upper East Region town of Bolgatanga will make a second appearance in court tomorrow.
Police in the Region arrested Hagai Nsobila 20, Zuwera Sumaila 17, Isha Ibrahim 18, Musah Fati 18, Kunlan Emmanular 18 and Joyce Ayamga 19 for flogging a senior High School leaver, named withheld.
The suspects accused the victim of engaging in a love affair with a man believed to be a boy lover of one of them(they the suspects).
The suspects lured the victim to a lonely area and subjected her to severe beatings.
The state has charged them with conspiracy to commit crime to wit assault and assault. They will reappear before the Bolgatanga circuit Court. Their plea for bail was rejected on their first appearance.
The victim told word news that she now had multiple bruises as a result of the attack. She has also lost her mobile phone and an undisclosed amount of money.
