NDC Will Win 200 Parliamentary Seats in 2024 Elections, Chief Sofo Azorka Assures.

The National Vice chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Chief Awudu Sofo Azorka is upbeat about the chances of his party in the 2024 general elections, claiming the party will win about 200 parliamentary seats out of the possible 275 seats.

Speaking to the media at the party headquarters in Zuarungu after leading a team to vet the 51 parliamentary aspirants who are vying to represent the 15 constituencies in the Upper East Region, Mr. Sofo Azorka assured that the NDC will only leave 75 seats for the NPP after the 2024 elections.

” We are giving the NPP only 75 seats in 2024.”

Asked if he has considered the Eastern and Ashanti regions which mostly vote for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Azorka said he believes they will change their voting pattern after witnessing how the country is governed.

” The Ashanti and Eastern regions are Ghanaians. They are in Ghana and they know how the country is been governed so they will change their mind in 2024. They thought that the NPP could help them but now they know that this time the NPP cannot help them so they will change their mind and vote for John Mahama. “

Mr. AZORKA said neither Dr. Bawumia or Alan Kyeremanten can match John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 election because they cannot rule the country by their track record.

” Bawumia cannot match John Mahama and Alan Kyeremanten cannot match John Mahama. It is just rumours. They want people to also hear that they are talking. We want someone who will come and rescue the country to brighten the future of the youth and you are talking about Bawumia? They told us that we have money so they won’t borrow . Today are they not borrowing? So Ghanaians know that they cannot do anything in terms of leading the country.”
