UE/R: Eastwood Anaba Refurbishes Bolgatanga Central Technical Institue At A Cost Of 214, 727

Rev Eastwood Anaba Ministries has refurbished the Bolgatanga Central Technical Institute. formerly known as Community Development Vocational Technical Institute,
the school since its establishment in 1972 did not receive any major renovation. speaking at a handing-over ceremony at the school, Vice President of the Eastwood Anaba Ministry, Mrs. Rev Rosemond Anaba told the media that Rev. Eastwood Anaba Ministry (EAM) has spent an amount of two hundred fourteen thousand , seven hundred and twenty seven Ghana cedis in refurbishing the Bolgatanga Central Technical Institute. Some of the lucky structures that got renovated included; a 4-unit class room block, dormitories, wash rooms and provision of Water closets. The entire school received a new painting. Provision of a polytank for water storage and graveling works on the compound.

Previous status of the the school block .

“Eastwood Anaba Ministry has spent a total of Two Hundred and Fourteen Thousand, Seven Hundred and Twenty-Seven Ghana Cedis (Ghc 214,727) refurbishing the school. Work done on the school have been outlined as follows:

  1. Renovation of 4-unit class room block, including electrical works, plastering, ceiling works
  2. Renovation of offices, plastering, electrical works, POP works, provision of fans, air conditioner, office desk,
  3. Renovation of wash rooms and provision of WCs
  4. Changing of ceilings for all the dormitories
  5. Painting of the entire school
  6. Provision of (1) polytank for water storage
  7. Gravel works on the compound
    Having highlighted all the works done in the school, the best gift you can give yourselves is to be law abiding, and eschew all forms of indiscipline and vandalism”. She stated.
    She noted that the institute provided refuge for Fountain Gate Chapel, Desert Pastures Bolgatanga during its formative years when the church was under persecution.
Current status of the school

“This school brings us fond memories of how well we were received in the early years of the ministry. While we were being ejected from one place of worship to another, this school, then known as the Women Training Institute (WTI), allowed us to use their premises until we moved out on our own”. she explained.

Mrs. Anaba described the refurbishment as an act of gratitude from the Fountain Gate Chapel, Desert Pastures.

“Amazingly, the intent to assist this institute was in 2022, when it turned fifty (50). This was also the ministry’s way of demonstrating The Love Revolution which we at EAM, propagate, in a practical way” she added.

Need for Vocational Education:

Mrs. Anaba stressed the need for vocational education. He stressed that “vocational learning opportunities play a critical role in skill development and employability in Ghana”.

She added that the importance of building skills-based education cannot be underestimated hence the need for Students who attend TVET schools to excel to be well-equipped for the job market.

Mrs. Rosemond added that Rev. Eastwood Anaba Ministry will not be pleased with the students if, after the huge cost of refurbishing the school and giving it a facelift, they rise up one day and decide to vandalize it, because they think that is the best way of expressing their grievances instead of using the approved channels established by your school.

She encouraged the school authorities to take very good care of the facilities and exhibit a high maintenance culture so that the facilities will last long.

Speaking exclusively to word news, the senior girl’s prefect, Aparik Monica indicated that students of the school used to risk themselves and more of their academic hours crossing the road to look for places of convenience and to fetch water, but the image of the school has lifted.


Mrs. Diana Kwakye Ayettey, the Principal of the Bolgatanga Institute expressed joy over the massive improvement the school has received through Rev Eastwood Anaba Ministry, according to her, the school which is been located in the central part of the municipality was looking dejected, rejected, and lost fitness purpose academically where most of the students could not point the school to say this is their school, but kept referring to Bolgatanga Technical Institute BOLTEC as their school.

“We had major challenges in the school there was a structure that was left under the mercy of the weather for years, depilated, uncompleted, EAM Eastwood Anaba Ministry came in and, then they have to finish, plaster, do ceiling everything about the building, fix fans, everything is now completed, the structure that is favorable for students to sit in and learn that is the nature of work they came to do” she noted.
Mrs. Diana noted that the entire school roof was leaking, her own office was just messed up, and the situation of their washroom was worse, but everything has been fixed today by EAM.
Mad Diana added that one of the challenges of the school is encroachment. She stated that parts of the school land has been encroached because the is not fenced.
