Black Starlet through to Semi-finals of WAFU Zone B.

Although the Black Starlet of Ghana lost their first game against Nigeria, that did not demoralised them to move foward in the competition, They kept that behind them and produced an impressive performance against Togo by beating them 3-0 to advance to the semi-finals of the on going WAFU B U-17 tournament.


The goals started coming in the second half after Pius Adua superb finished in the 54th minutes after a cross from Andrew Appiah.

Abdul Razak Salifu scored in the 74th minute to give the Black Starlets a 2-0 lead. And Collins Agyemang converted a penalty to seal it for the Starlet.

This win guaranteed the Black Starlets would face either Ivory Coast, Benin, or Burkina Faso in the last four.
The WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship serves as a qualifier for the African Cup of Nations in Algeria in 2023.

The competition will take place early next year.
